The Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors recognized Courtney Yates as 2007 Realtor of the Year and Lynne Davis as Rookie of the Year at its recent installation and awards dinner. MTAR President Scott Boles announced all seven Realtor of the Year nominees, including Rex Brown with RE/MAX Mountain Views Realty in Winchester, Janice Carlton with Coldwell Banker Segroves-Nelson Realty in Shelbyville, Daryl Duncan with Master Plan Realty in Murfreesboro, Kelly Gafford with Sims Realtors Auctioneers in Murfreesboro, Bridget Jones with Exit Realty, Bob Lamb & Associates in Murfreesboro, Angela Kidd with Keller Williams Realty in Murfreesboro and Yates. "All the nominees were extremely deserving of this award and the recognition for their contributions. They epitomize all the qualities that professionals in our industry possess," Boles said. |
Today is the big Webb School Craft Fair in Bell Buckle. Rae Ann and I went this morning and had a great day. Believe it or not, I didn't buy too much!! Found some really cute Breast Cancer Awareness stuff for the Handbags for Habitat Auction.
This year's "Handbags for Habitat" auction will be held on Thursday October 25 at Park Place reception hall, beginning at 5 pm. Park Place is located at the corner of Old Salem and Park. This is the old Hodge Manufacturing building. We have a date, a location and a time -now we need sponsors! For information about sponsorship levels and needs, contact Kelly Gafford at kellygafford@aol.com or 6156-828-1645.
This year's event will feature a fashion show as well as the auction. We will also have booths set up in the lobby wher vendors can sell their wares after the event. Booth space is limited so reserve early. Watch the web site for more details.
Local Officers Attend WCR’s Midyear Meeting
(WASHINGTON, D.C.—May 17, 2007) Officers with the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors joined real estate professionals from around the country for WCR’s Midyear Meeting in Washington, D.C., May 17-20, 2007. Attending were President Sheila Conquest (Coldwell Banker Snow and Wall), President-Elect Kelly Gafford (Sims Realtors), and Secretary Sheila Alexander (Re/Max Elite).
“I was able to gain a broader perspective about the real estate industry both with national information and professional development,” said Gafford. “This new perspective will help me assist my clients in making the best home buying choices.”
Established in 1938, WCR offers professional development, as well as a trusted support system where members can grow both personally and professionally to achieve their next level of success. WCR has the strength of a national association with local accessibility through more than 280 chapters. For information visit the WCR Web site at www.wcr.org or call 800-245-8512.
In its 69-year history, WCR has never been more relevant to the real estate industry than it is right now. Every day, WCR provides the tools to take dynamic real estate professionals to the top of the industry, through education, networking, mentoring, business-building strategies and referrals.
WCR members are industry leaders who earn more, learn more and achieve more. The core of WCR is a strong grassroots base of 16,000 national members in more than 280 local chapters.
